Yo
I noticed that it's the end of the semester, and the last time I wrote a journal was at the beginning of the summer...
Epic fail!
But in all honesty, school has been keeping me swamped. Junior year, baby! Just one more year after this and I'll be a real adult, with a real art degree and real student loans to pay off
But before that is Junior survey. And let me tell you, the Pratt ComD department has fucked us all over! They distributed the email with all the information we need to be ready for our final presentations TODAY! giving us only a week and a half to finish all our work, and make sure we meet the requirements.
Not cool bro, so not cool.
So as you can imagine this is all very stressful.
Also, on the side I'm collaborating with some internet peeps on a super secret project, so that'll be fun

Keep Moving Forward
One of the most detrimental things I've encountered in my journey to becoming a #Professional Illustrator is stagnation and fear of not being good enough.
Well, I guess that's two things.
Also, greasy fingers.
Three.
ANYWAY!
Fear and stagnation. These obstacles can go hand in hand. Fear of not being good enough can make you doubt your abilities at all, and lead you to drawing less, producing less work. And stagnation, not starting/finishing new projects, or not feeling inspired, can lead back to fearing that you CAN'T produce good work. That you can't produce good enough work to reach whatever goal you have for yourself.
And it suck
Hooooooooooo boi....
So, it's been a while. What else is new. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In the past 6 months I have:

Inktasy Inktober!
I'm taking part in Inktober this year. I plan on submitting every day, and hopefully it'll be a good lesson in time management and consistency for me. I've already planned out a bunch of the drawings, so I'm very excited.
I'm using the template created by Rio Burton that she posted on her tumblr. Take a gander at it if you're interested in some fantastical prompts!
Progress
Day 1: Witch
Day 2: Warrior
Day 3: Bard
Day 4: Summoner
Day 5: Knight
EDIT:
So, I failed Inktober this year. But that's okay! This was my first year attempting it, and to be honest I probably shouldn't have considering my workload and senior thesis. But! This just
Summer, Employment and Commissions
Hello my fellow monsters!
So, this'll be the last summer I have as a student until I graduate this fall.
And, cool story, I got a job! I'm working as a storyboard artist for a New York based film starting, like, now.
I'm so grateful to have this opportunity, and I hope this gig leads to even more work in the future.
Now, storyboarding an entire film takes a lot of work and time; especially since I'm the main artist and get the bulk of the work.
However I'm a workaholic and a masochist, so I'm also opening up commissions for my DA and Tumblr pages.
Here's a link to the original post I made about my commission info on my tumblr page: htt
